Are FoodSaver bags oven safe?
FoodSaver bags are NOT rated for the oven and that kind of direct heat and I think would be dangerous. Only special “oven bags” should be used for that purpose. Support bacteria. It’s the only culture some people have.
Can vacuum seal bags go in the oven?
Our oven-safe cooking bags can be used for microwave cooking in direct contact with the food, because they present no barrier to the microwaves. The vacuum bags in the freezer are oven-safe.
Can I cook in FoodSaver bags?
Yes. You can heat cooked foods, such as leftovers, in a FoodSaver® bag. The bags should never be used to cook raw foods. When microwaving, cut open a corner of the bag before putting it in the microwave so steam can escape.

What bags are compatible with FoodSaver?
If you want to use your FoodSaver® appliance to re-seal, but not vacuum package a bag (without removing the air first) you can use it on Mylar type (strong, thin polyester) or stiff plastic bags, not any other types. For example, you can re-seal potato chip bags.
How do you reheat FoodSaver bags?
Microwaving. Cut off one corner of the FoodSaver bag with a pair of sharp scissors to allow steam to escape while reheating. Open the microwave and set the FoodSaver bag on the microwave plate. Choose a heating option based on the food you are reheating.
